Willie Lear, 75, of Berea, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, April 5. He was a Berea native born Nov. 23, 1949, son of the late Frank and Evelyn Holland Lear, retired Eastern Kentucky University employee in Facility Services, and member of the Holiness Faith. In his spare time, Willie enjoyed watching wildlife and being an outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, and was a faithful member of the University of Kentucky Wildcat Big Blue Nation.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Lois Bradley Lear; siblings Janice Boggs, Thomas Lear, and Betty Abrams; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Germaine Lear; siblings Robert Lear, Lucille Caudill, Linda Broyles, Brenda Tudor, Madelyn Nickerson, Sally Woods, and Tereas Lear.
Funeral Service 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, at Reppert Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Earl Rose Cemetery on Gravel Lick Road. Visitation noon until service time.
