Rev. Wallace Richardson

Rev. Wallace Richardson, 96, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Berea.
He was born on August 25, 1928, in Irvine, to the late Shirrell Richardson and Sudie Lee Richardson Houser. He was preceded in death by his loving and faithful wife of over 50 years, Bonnie King Richardson, his daughter: Brenda Joyce Smith and granddaughter: Rhonda Roark.
Wallace was a devoted husband, loving father and faithful servant of God. He was a country minister of the holiness faith, pastoring churches in Kentucky and Indiana as well as being an evangelist. He was an avid gardener and loved fishing, but most of all he loved God and his family. He was also preceded in death by a brother Gordon Richardson, sisters: Roberta Lackey and Lucille Davis; and sons-in-law: Rev. John Dye and Mitchell Smith.
Survivors include sons: Wallace Larry Richardson and Jackie Dean Richardson; daughters: Mrs. Shirley Faye Dye and Mrs. Debbie (Steve) Scrivner; one sister: Clara Singleton; nine grandchildren: Lisa Richardson, Eric Richardson, Adam Richardson, Andrew Richardson, Ashley Durham, Lindsey Morgan, Kristen Eldridge, Jaclyn Scrivner and Lauren Jackson; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Richardson, Adam Richardson, Andrew Richardson, Jay Jackson, Johnny Eldridge, Sean Morgan and Jessie Landrum. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Tipton, Donald King, Jessie King, David Tipton, Robby King Bobby Gillam and Leland Scarborough.
The family would like to thank the staffs at the Terrace and Hospice Care Plus for their kindness, care and compassion shown to our father and family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to Hospice Care Plus, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, Kentucky 40475.
