January 05, 2025

Mrs. Jewell Marie Spears Woodall, age 99, of Berea, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 3rd, 2025, at her home. She was born June, 25 1925, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Melvin and Elsie Spears.
She was a homemaker until her children were grown. She then began a career with Proctor and Gamble where she retired as a technician. She was a very active member of her church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and worked with the youth. She was talented at crocheting and enjoyed making things for her family. Time spent with her family was her favorite thing; whether at their family home in Cincinnati, at the cottage, or on one of the many trips to the beach, it was time well spent. She had many accomplishments in life, but her most treasured possession was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Gran Gran.
Jewell was preceded in death by her husband, Williard Woodall. She is survived by her son and two daughters, Bill Woodall (Jennie) of Hamilton, OH, Genene Parson (Lloyd) of Berea, KY, and Joanne Chasteen (Eddie) of Waco, KY. She is survived by several grandchildren: Carrianne Broaddus (Shayne), Angie Causey (Chris), Randy Woodall, Chad Chasteen (Mandy), Jamie Parson (Lindsey), Scott Woodall (Emily), Chris Chasteen (Rachel), and Tommy Parson.
